Truck Loader Crane (HiAB) - Refresher

DISCLAIMER:  Overwatch Solutions are an approved organisation, whose assessors are registered with EarnLearn-Te Pukenga  Learners are enrolled with EarnLearn-Te Pukenga and are assessed by our EarnLearn-Te Pukenga registered assessors  Results are reported to NZQA by EarnLearn-Te Pukenga and recorded on learners’ New Zealand Record of Achievement (NZROA) ATTENDANCE NUMBERS:  Min 4  Max 6 DURATION:  4 hours (experienced operators) PURPOSE: This course is designed to verify and refresh the trainee’s current competence. The training will include assessment activities aimed to reinforce the skills required to safely operate a Truck Loader Crane. Trainees will also be updated on any changes to relevant regulations, codes of practice and Crane industry best practice. REFRESHER INFORMATION: To remain compliant with Health and Safety legislation and industry best practice guidelines, trainees are generally required to refresh their training every three years. When booking a refresher course, Overwatch Solutions will require evidence of the trainees qualification for the course they are attending. On successful completion of the course the trainee will be reissued a certificate of achievement with a new refresher date. (Please note: No qualifications will be reported or uploaded). LEARNING OUTCOMES:  Demonstrate knowledge of the hazards associated with the operation of a Truck Loader Crane  Revise operational requirements applicable to a Truck Loader Crane  Demonstrate knowledge of Truck Loader Crane components, attachments and procedures for the care and use of the lifting equipment  Practical exercises to sling, lift, move, and unload or place regular loads using a Truck Loader Crane  Prepare the Truck Loader Crane for road transport mode, stow equipment, and complete documentation  Practical reinforcement of the knowledge and skills obtained during the training REFRESHED QUALIFICATION:  Unit Standard 16617 - Use a truck loader crane to lift and place regular loads PREREQUISITE: If you did not complete your original training with Overwatch Solutions then we will require evidence of competency.
