Height Safety - Refresher

Service Description

ATTENDANCE NUMBERS:  Min 4  Max 8 DURATION:  8 hours PURPOSE: This course is designed to verify and refresh the trainee’s current competence. The training will include assessment activities aimed to reinforce the skills required to safely Work at Height. Trainees will also be updated on any changes to relevant regulations, codes of practice, standards and industry good practice. REFRESHER INFORMATION: To remain compliant with Health and Safety legislation and industry good practice guidelines, trainees are generally required to refresh their training every two years. When booking a refresher course, Overwatch Solutions will require evidence of the trainees qualification for the course they are attending. On successful completion of the course the trainee will be reissued a certificate of achievement with a new refresher date. (Please note: No qualifications will be reported or uploaded). If trainees are unable to provide us with this information, they will need to attend a full course to achieve the qualification. LEARNING OUTCOMES:  Explain the legislative requirements and systems used for Working at Heights  Demonstrate use of safety harnesses and associated systems and equipment  Demonstrate knowledge of the rescue plan to be activated in the event of a fall  Identify, install & disestablish suitable Height work equipment and suitable anchor points for fall and arrest systems  Practical reinforcement of the knowledge and skills obtained during the training REFRESHED QUALIFICATION/S:  17600 - Explain safe work practices for working at heights  23229 - Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height  15757 Use, install and disestablish temporary proprietary fall arrest systems when working at height PREREQUISITE: If you did not complete your original training with Overwatch Solutions then we will require evidence of competency.
