Confined Space - Refresher

Service Description

ATTENDANCE NUMBERS:  Min 4  Max 12 DURATION:  8 hours PURPOSE: This course is designed to verify and refresh the trainee’s current competence. The training will include assessment activities aimed to reinforce the skills required to effectively plan, observe and safely enter a Confined Space. Trainees will also be updated on any changes to relevant regulations, codes of practice, standards and industry good practice. REFRESHER INFORMATION: To remain compliant with Health and Safety legislation and industry best practice guidelines, trainees are generally required to refresh their training every two years. When booking a refresher course, Overwatch Solutions will require evidence of the trainees qualification for the course they are attending. On successful completion of the course the trainee will be reissued a certificate of achievement with a new refresher date. (Please note: No qualifications will be reported or uploaded). If trainees are unable to provide us with this information, they will need to attend a full course to achieve the qualification. LEARNING OUTCOMES:  Identify hazards and controls within Confined Spaces  Develop an emergency procedure plan for a Confined Space  Complete required documentation for a Confined Space entry  Demonstrate knowledge of Confined Spaces and their permit notification and implementation requirements  Demonstrate knowledge of monitoring and Confined Space testing requirements  Describe the responsibilities and duties of people entering; or conducting observation duties for a Confined Space  Demonstrate knowledge of atmospheric testing in potentially hazardous environments  Conduct atmospheric tests and interpret and respond to atmospheric testing results REFRESHED QUALIFICATION/S: Note: Please refer to AS 2865 Confined Spaces - 2009 to view all qualifications. PREREQUISITE: If you did not complete your original training with Overwatch Solutions then we will require evidence of competency. COSTS:  $350 (Ex GST) p/p Note: Company booked course establishment fees apply:  Less than 2 hrs return travel $150.00/ day  Greater than 2 hrs return travel $300.00/ day
