Service Description

ATTENDANCE NUMBERS:  Min 4  Max 12 DURATION:  4 hours PURPOSE: This interactive seminar will provide trainees with an overview of the dangers of Asbestos. Our syllabus identifies likely places Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) may be encountered, the selection and use of PPE, safe handling, removal and disposal of up to 10m2 of non-friable Asbestos. Trainees will also gain insight into relevant Asbestos regulations, codes of practice and safe systems of work. LEARNING OUTCOMES:  Overview on what Asbestos is  Asbestos health hazards  Legislation and new Asbestos licencing  Identifying Asbestos or ACM in buildings  Personal and respiratory protective equipment  How to take samples safely  Safe removal procedures of up to 10m2  Where and how to safely dispose of Asbestos  Overview on personal decontamination procedures QUALIFICATIONS: Non-Qualification based seminar. Note: On completion of the seminar the trainee will be issued with a certificate of attendance. (No qualifications will be reported or uploaded). COSTS:  $250 (Ex GST) p/p Note: Company booked course establishment fees apply:  Less than 2 hrs return travel $150.00/ day  Greater than 2 hrs return travel $300.00/ day
